Foodlink Alternative Malaysia: ROVA vs Foodlink for Delivery Orders

By the ROVA team · Published · 7 min read

ROVA and Foodlink compared as Foodlink alternatives in Malaysia for delivery and direct ordering

ROVA is the better Foodlink alternative in Malaysia if you mainly want QR ordering, kitchen sync and predictable monthly pricing; Foodlink is the better fit if loyalty, WhatsApp marketing and self-delivery tools are the priority. ROVA charges RM49–RM199 a month plus 1.5–2.5% of revenue, with no setup fee. Foodlink sells annual flat-fee plans, listed from RM799 to RM3,999 a year, plus add-ons. Neither vendor's public site lists GrabFood or foodpanda order integration, so check that before you sign.

The short version

  • Choose ROVA for QR ordering, your own ordering domain, and a monthly fee that scales with sales.
  • Choose Foodlink for membership, vouchers, e-stamps, WhatsApp retargeting and a rider solution.
  • Cost depends on revenue: revenue-based pricing is cheaper while you are small; flat annual fees can win as sales grow.

This comparison uses both companies' public websites as of 8 October 2026. It covers the FoodLink restaurant platform at foodlink.my (FoodLink Technology Sdn Bhd). It is not FoodLink System, a separate Malaysian company that builds an AI agent called Pip. Confirm current terms with each vendor.

What "multi-platform delivery" really means

Restaurant owners use this phrase for three different jobs, and vendors solve different ones:

Foodlink and ROVA both focus on the second job. Foodlink adds tools for the third. Neither publicly lists the first, so if one-screen aggregation is essential, ask both vendors for a live demo of it. Foodlink's own site frames the marketplace charge as 30%, but your actual rate depends on your agreement, so check your statements. Our guide to owning your ordering system covers the commission maths.

What is Foodlink?

Foodlink is a Malaysian F&B mini-program and CRM platform. Its site lists self-pickup and delivery ordering, QR self-ordering, a rider solution, online payment, membership, vouchers, e-stamp campaigns, a marketplace and automated WhatsApp marketing. Setup is advertised as ready in 7 days, with menu configuration and training included. Its app terms state that order payments are processed through FoodLink's payment gateway.

What is ROVA?

ROVA is a browser-based QR ordering and POS platform built for Malaysian F&B. Customers scan a dynamic table QR code, orders reach the kitchen by screen or cloud printer, and payment through a gateway is optional. Each restaurant gets its own server space and its own ordering domain. Plans also include a free landing page and menu import. See how ROVA's QR ordering works.

Cost: flat annual fee vs revenue-based fee

The two models cross over as you grow. ROVA's monthly cost at three revenue levels:

Foodlink's Pro plan is listed at RM3,999 a year. Below roughly RM10,000 in monthly sales, ROVA costs less; above that, a flat fee starts to look better on price alone. Foodlink also states renewals are free for any store with sales above RM360,000. But the packages are not equivalent: Foodlink bundles CRM and marketing, while ROVA's published plans focus on ordering, kitchen sync, your domain and a landing page. Compare tiers with the ROVA pricing calculator.

Foodlink's pricing page lists more than one plan set (for example Lite at both RM799 and RM1,908 a year), so ask for one written quote that states exactly what is included. For payment fees on either platform, see our payment gateway fees guide.

Frequently asked questions

What is Foodlink and what does it do for restaurants?

Foodlink (foodlink.my, operated by FoodLink Technology Sdn Bhd) is a Malaysian F&B mini-program and CRM platform. It offers self-pickup and delivery ordering, QR ordering, a rider solution, membership, vouchers, e-stamps and automated WhatsApp marketing. It is not the same company as FoodLink System, which builds an AI agent called Pip.

How much does Foodlink cost?

Foodlink's pricing page lists annual plans, including Lite at RM799 per year and Pro at RM3,999 per year, with add-ons such as a cloud printer at RM480 and a WhatsApp annual plan at RM3,600. The page lists several plan sets, so confirm the current price and what is included with Foodlink.

How much does ROVA cost compared with Foodlink?

ROVA charges RM49, RM99 or RM199 per month plus 2.5%, 2.0% or 1.5% of revenue, with no setup fee. Foodlink charges annual flat fees. Revenue-based pricing costs less at low sales, and flat annual pricing can cost less as sales grow, so the better value depends on your monthly revenue and which features you need.

Can ROVA or Foodlink combine GrabFood and foodpanda orders on one screen?

Neither vendor's public website lists GrabFood or foodpanda order integration. Both focus on moving customers to your own ordering channel. If you need marketplace orders merged into one screen, ask each vendor directly before you sign.

Who should choose Foodlink instead of ROVA?

Foodlink suits restaurants that want loyalty, membership, WhatsApp retargeting and self-delivery tools in one package. ROVA suits restaurants and cafés that mainly want QR ordering, kitchen sync, their own ordering domain and published monthly pricing.
